“Respecting The Past While Embracing The Future”
"Respecting the Past While Embracing the Future" is a motto that our church lives by. It emphasizes the importance of acknowledging and honoring history and tradition while remaining open to progress, change, and new possibilities. We practice this in our hymns, singing traditional hymns from various faith backgrounds alongside more contemporary congregational songs. We practice it in our choirs, performing anthems ranging from Tallis and Bach to John Rutter and barbershop quartets. We practice it in our Bible studies, seeking to understand theology from both historical and modern perspectives and applying these lessons to make a difference in our lives and the world around us.
Our congregation consists of many different people from diverse backgrounds who share a common bond of faith and fellowship. Whether it's singing, greeting folks at the door, or contributing to coffee hour, we all work together to create a strong faith community. Every member brings something unique and special to our church, and it is these gifts and talents that keep us vibrant and ever-evolving.
